MONSTRA | Festival de Animação de Lisboa

MONSTRINHA>WORKSHOPS FOR FAMILIES

MONSTRINHA offers a set of workshops and activities on audiovisual literacy, conceived to awaken the curiosity and creativity of our younger ones. Children and young people are invited to experiment animation techniques, create characters, tell stories with pictures and discover how an animation film is made. Through hands-on activities adapted to the different age groups, and developed in partnership with artists, educators and teachers, MONSTRINHA promotes direct contact with the creative process.

Animated Viarco Workshop

Suitable for children 8 years old and above. Despite being the oldest pencil factory in the country, VIARCO is now one of the most innovative in Europe. Based on its creations in design, colour and artistic media, we will develop animation experiences inspired by VIARCO's own research and experimental practices.

Gleba Workshop - The Cookie Monster

Suitable for children 6 years old and above. In the “Workshop Gleba: The Cookie Monster”, our little bakers are invited to make their own cookie from the first step. They will mix ingredients, shape the dough, nibble on the way and take a few ready-made cookies to finish baking at home. It’s an experience thought out to play, learn, dirty their hands, all whilst they discover how to bake the goodies we so much enjoy eating. A sweet and fun activity, made with time, as everything in Gleba, integrated in the creative spirit of the MONSTRA festival.
