In the woods, three swans land in a lake and turn into young women. A wood cutter spies on them and takes the garments of the youngest one. Two older ones get dressed and fly away. The youngest falls for the wood cutter, follows him to his home, becomes his wife and the mother of their child. Will her love be strong enough to sustain all of them or will she be tempted to return to the air when she f inds her wings again?
