When is the next edition of the festival scheduled for?
The next edition of MONSTRA, with of 11 days of non stop animation, will take place from March 12 to 22, 2026.
Where does the MONSTRA festival take place?
The festival takes place all over Lisbon. The most central location, where most of the events and film screenings linked to the competitions take place, is Cinema São Jorge, on Avenida da Liberdade. We also have screenings at the Cinemateca Portuguesa and Cinema City in Alvalade.
How can I submit a film for the next edition of MONSTRA?
The Call for Entries for MONSTRA 2026 is now closed. Keep an eye on our social media channels and website for the announcement of the 2026 programme.
I’m a teacher and I’d like to register the school where I teach in the MONSTRINHA program. What should I do?
