A performative experience that invites the spectator to rethink the way we see and feel light, and colours. Inspired by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe’s book, “Theory of Colours”, this play takes stage in an octagon where light is seen as dynamic matter, transformed through interaction with bodies and space. The audience is invited to enter into an optical and perceptive game, in which shadows, reflections and colour phenomena construct a constantly changing sensory experience. Performance by Beatriz Boleto and Gonçalo Silva. Music by Nick Rothwell.

MONSTRA 2026 has Nature and Sustainability as its main theme. In partnership with the festival, VERDE is organising a guided walk to visit some of Lisbon's Green Giants. These are monumental trees that live in the city and, despite their size and importance, often go unnoticed. Along the way, we will stop, observe and learn more about these large trees, understanding their ecological, climatic and cultural value. An opportunity to look at Lisbon more closely and rediscover the nature that is already part of it. Up to 30 participants
Since MONSTRA’s first edition, Jazz and Animation intersect. JazzAnim renews this creative symbiosis, joining musical improv to the movement of image in unique and irreproducible screenings, where spontaneity gives life to moving images.
