Parasympatica

Country: AUSTRIA Year: 1986 Duration: 6 mins.
Synopsis:
In a Spanish magazine, the artist found a list of characteristics considered as “positive or negative” by the Catholic Church. With two exceptions, the positive characteristics represented are passive attitudes. The artist represents them mimically by dividing her body into two halves, one black and the other white. This "split" figure rotates jerkily by means of single frame animation.

Mao Tse Tung - Bd.2

Country: AUSTRIA Year: 2001 Duration: 10 mins.
Synopsis:
Drawn on the pages of the book ‘Mao Tse Tungs Selected Works Vol. II’ (1968). A response to something so clearly written, so easily understood, so linear, so horrifyingly consequential! Considering myself a political being of the left it is astounding to me how the human animal continuously manages to screw up in the biggest possible ways (often with the best intentions).

Review

Country: AUSTRIA Year: 2013 Duration: 3 mins.
Synopsis:
This hypnotic, abstract film uses found audio-visual material. Non-sequential images were grouped by content and altered into circular patterns, erasing their meaning. The audio blends sound fragments with a voice repeating: "Once a thing's been done, it's been done ... why looking backwards for inspiration ... start something new, you know? Live your lives now. Know what I mean?"

20160815

Country: AUSTRIA Year: 2016 Duration: 3 mins.

Is there life after HD? And most of all: will awareness begin to revolt at some time when HD is implanted in all of our minds as a standard without alternative? This is not the first time that she has collaborated with Pita (Peter Rehberg), whose track, ‘20150609’ congenially elevates Franks eruptive pop-approach to a higher, shared, techno-visionary level.
