Lola, a young woman living with a painful hole in her chest, sets out on an imaginary journey to seal it. Gazing out her window at woodpeckers, and she wonders whether her pain resembles the holes they carve into trees. Through her journey she crosses mountains, deserts, and oceans, encountering three figures who each offer a different solution - yet none truly touch the source of her pain.
