The Closing and Award Ceremonies of the 16th edition of MONSTRA took place yesterday, march 25th, in Lisbon.

The Grand Prix MONSTRA was given to “My Life as a Zucchini”, directed by Claude Barras, who was in Lisbon presenting his film, in its premiere at our country. The Grand Prix MONSTRA of short films was given to “Peripheria”, directed by David Coquard-Dassault.

In the Portuguese competition, Samuel Úria’s music video “It is necessary that I diminish”, directed by Pedro Serrazina, was given the Best Portuguese Film award.

The awarded films can be seen today, march 26th, and on march the 27th. “My Life as a Zucchini” will screen at 8pm (Cinema São Jorge) and the winning feature of the Jury´s Special Prize “Louise en Hiver” by Jean-François Laguionie, will screen on the same day at 10pm (Cinema Ideal). The awarded short films will be exhibited in two parts, one at 6pm on the 26th (Cinema São Jorge), and the other on the 27th at 10pm (Cinema Ideal).
